Agriculture:
The temperature in Rio de Janeiro is similar to Florida, and makes for very good agriculture. The most produced crops are coffee beans, cocoa, grains, and oilseeds. Brazil is the worlds largest producer of beef, coffee, soybeans, and sugarcane. Much of the Brazil's land is used for agriculture.
Manufacturing:
Rio is Brazil’s second most important manufacturing center, after Sao Paulo. The growth of industry has been helped by a large urban settlement with many workers and consumers. It also has an excellent natural harbor for shipping. There is oil refining, shipbuilding, and manufacturing of processed foods, chemicals, electronics, clothing and textiles, among other products. Brazil's major products include sugar, grain, paper, iron, steel, cars, food, tobacco, metalwork, clothes, shoes, glass, tires, and pharmaceuticals. Some of the services it provides include construction, publishing, printing, repairing, and shipbuilding.
The economy is doing quite well, and productivity is very high. Like most major countries, Brazil has trouble keeping its roads, bridges, and harbors in good repair.
